Emily has been telling me, for some time, that she would most definitely need ME to photograph her senior portraits.  So when Emily and her mom Tammy heard that we were relocating, her mom was on the ball and scheduled a session before her junior year was even over! Unfortunately, rain and illness forced us to reschedule several times but finally we had a HOT, sunny day to photograph this beautiful, upcoming Siegel High Senior!  Enjoy.

If you could see HOW many images I took at this session, it would be a good showing of just how much fun I had shooting this fabulously gorgeous young girl.  Katie is a sweet, gorgeous, FUN young lady who will be graduation from Seigel High next May.  Both her and her mom were just so much fun to work with.  I don’t know HOW many times her mom and I just gasped, we could just SEE just how beautiful these images were going to be!  Even better, Katie’s mom Laurie contacted me as soon as she heard that we were relocating.  She just HAD to have ME photographer Katie before I left and I couldn’t be MORE honored or more flattered! So this blog post is a two parter.  First I wanted to update all of my clients and fans.  Whitehill Photography will, in fact, be relocating out of state.  My amazing husband got the offer at an amazing church and we just couldn’t turn it down.  We are so excited for our new journey in life.  ALL of our family does still live here in the area, however, so we will be making frequent trips home.  If you’d like to try to still book Whitehill for your portrait needs, just send me an email and I’ll let you know when we’ll be in town.  ALSO, if you are down on the FL Gulf coast and looking for a photographer for beach portraits/vacation portraits.  Please be sure to give me a call!

Now on to the session.  Imani and I have been discussing her senior session for quite some time.  It finally warmed up enough to make it happen!  Imani is a gorgeous girl with a fabulous life ahead of her. I can’t wait to see where this girl goes, she’s meant for big things!

I’m a planner.  I like to plan things.  I like to plan for sessions, I like to plan birthdays, I like to plan vacations.  I like to make lists.  I REALLY REALLY like crossing things OFF my list.  I like the KNOWN.  I like having a plan and knowing what path our life will travel on.  So when I started this business, I had a 5 year plan for Whitehill Photography.  So far, things were going great along that plan and were moving even a bit faster than I planned.  I prided myself on what I had accomplished as a NEW photographer here in Murfreesboro.  I prided myself on every gorgeous smile, every ray of sunshine, and each and every home that had my portraits hanging in it.  I never would have imagined that in such a short time, I would have been voted Best of Parenting 2010, Favorite Children’s Photography.  I never would have BELIEVED that I would have been voted Rutherford County Ruthie’s, Best Photographer 2010.  I was in awe and amazed by the path that God was leading me on.

Then sometimes things change.

And then sometimes things change ALOT.

As of June 2011, Whitehill Photography will no longer be located in Murfreesboro, TN.

Its a simple matter really.  My husband’s job is moving.  And where he goes, I surely will follow.  As of right now, we don’t know the full details of WHERE we’ll be moving.  It could be as simple as a short move northwest – to Nashville.  It could be as far as moving states away.  But what I do know is, our time here in Murfreesboro has come to an end. In a few weeks we will know the full details and I’ll be sure to keep my fans and clients in the “know”.  If we are moving to Nashville, then I can certainly still have sessions with my clients here in Murfreesboro!

So what does this mean?  Well I have an email inbox full of requests for Spring, Summer and Fall sessions.  As it stands, I only have 2 months to try to fit everyone in and with full sessions and ordering prints, I just don’t see how I can manage (especially considering how much rain we usually get in the spring)  So for the first and probably only time, Whitehill Photography is offering mini all digital sessions, at a very very affordable price.  These sessions will be 30 minutes sessions (not themed for any season, etc) of your choice and with the price of the session, you will receive a disk with all of your digital proofs and rights to reprint those images!
The sessions are only mini sessions (30 minutes).  Therefore they will not be available for Senior sessions, infant (babies under 6 months) sessions or extended family sessions.  There is just simply NOT enough time to try to attempt any of those sessions for a mini.  IF you are really wanting a session with me before Whitehill Photography moves and you would like a regular full session then I do have a small handful of full session dates available.  Please contact me quickly, however, I do believe they will go quickly!  All full sessions will be allowed a discount of $50 off the session fee.  That only applies to full sessions booked.

Meet Caroline, one of my last seniors for the season!  She’s a gorgeous girl and I think we got some images that really represent HER.  Good luck with your senior year Caroline!  I know you’ll do wonderfully.  Enjoy.

Another beautiful senior girl from Siegel High. I’m beginning to think that I might be the luckiest photographer in the area.  Its quite possible that I am getting ALL of the beautiful girls from Rutherford County as MY clients.  Kelly was a ton of fun to work with, the weather and light was just perfect and despite a “busy” day at one of our locations, we were able to really find some beautiful spots for Kelly that, I think, really highlighted this awesome young lady.  Enjoy.

Lauren is a beautiful, self assure young lady, who knows exactly what she wants out of life and is out to get it.  We tossed around alot of ideas for locations for her official senior session.  Lauren loves antiques, loves church (and God), and loves all things Ag (as in agriculture) and she’s really just an All- American girl.   So we finally settled on some locations and some ideas that were really fitting for her.  She also wanted some portraits done in her formal FFA (Future Farmer’s of America) dress because FFA is a huge part of her life as she’s a local officer in the organization.  I think we really succeeded in capturing Lauren and I’m excited to share!  Enjoy!

Jessie is a fun, gorgeous girl and we had a great time Saturday night exploring the Murfreesboro Square, Oaklands Mansion and a few beautiful, overgrown fields.   Jessie is fun, sooo easy to photograph and was totally up for anything I asked.  I’m blessed and honored that she (and her mom) chose me to photograph this milestone for her.  Enjoy!

Sweet Caroline… good times never seemed so good!  Caroline and I (and her mom!) had a great time at the Murfreesboro Square.  We got some fun loving, sweet images… just like her!   Caroline is another one of my Senior reps so technically she’s still in her Junior year.  She’s a hard working girl, meant for big big things!  Enjoy!

Another “senior rep” tonight and man oh man, did we have a beautiful night!  Enter Lauren, an upcoming senior at Siegel High School.    Lauren is really your All American girl and we wanted her session to highlight that.  She’s fun, beautiful girl with a smile that makes YOU want to smile!  We had some good laughs as we traipsed around (and left our chair randomly hanging out).  I’m excited for all these juniors as they approach their senior year.  And even MORE excited for me because I get to photograph them ALL again!    Remember, ask Lauren for a card if you want to get free prints from your senior pictures!  Enjoy!
