So I’ve photographed my share of graduating high school seniors but Caitlin was my first graduating college senior.  She’ll be graduating from MTSU this year and I truly believe she has a bright future in front of her.  She’s GORGEOUS, articulate, so very nice, and you can tell she has a good head on her.  I think she was a little unsure of our session (mom Carol, requested the session) but I believe we ALL had a great time, by the time it was over.  Enjoy

It was a hot evening and little August just wasn’t so sure he wanted to smile tonight.  Actually, he was PRETTY sure he just wanted to jump into the creek and cool off!   No matter the conditions, August is a total cutie and I think we got some definite keepers!  Enjoy.

My beautiful rep Eva returned this evening for her senior session. Apparently, however, mother nature didn’t want to play nice. It started out a little cloudy and then cleared up perfectly but by the time we really wanted to take advantage of the beautiful sun; mean, ugly clouds came up and ruined our fun. It was a HOT HOT night and I hope that when Eva and I can finish our session its a little less sweltering! So here she is, Eva part 1! Enjoy.

and attending (and teaching) at an amazing workshop filled with over 20 AMAZING photographers. So, I’ll be out of the office from August 6 -August 8th!

If you are located here in Murfreesboro, you have SURELY heard about the Ruthie Awards given out each year.  This year, is the 16th year of these awards.  The awards purpose is to highlight the favorite businesses/service people/hospitals, etc etc.  And this year, YOUR photographer was nominated.  <Insert goofy grin here>.

And I’m happy to be nominated.  And while I know my business is very fairly young, especially compared to some of the other photographers/portrait studios in the area, I have high hopes.  I thought – “wow, wouldn’t it be super cool to be a finalist this year?!?”    I mean sure it would be crazy wow to win but to at least be a finalist, now that is a good goal, right?!  So this is where ALL of you come in!  Because well, you like me, right?!  <insert yet another goofy grin here>.  Would you please, please vote for me?

Mr. Clay was one of my very first clients ever.  Can you believe that?  And his mom has brought him back, time and time again!  Its been fun watching him grow into the big guy he is now.  He’s adorable AND he really really really loves his momma, which of course makes him EVER cuter!    Enjoy!

Some of you might know that my husband is a youth minister (and an awesome one at that!)  Every year he takes his youth group on several mission trips.  When our girls were smaller, I wasn’t able to go on those mission trips but I loved hearing the stories.  Now that they are getting a little older, I GET TO GO!!!   So the office here at Whitehill Photography will be closed starting today (June 20) until June 30th, 2010.  If you have questions about a session or want to book something (by the way, starting to book into September, start thinking about those Christmas Card portraits NOW!) you can go ahead and shoot me an email and I promise to get back to you when I get back!  Have an awesome week and I hope the heat isn’t horrible hear.  We’ll be heading to cool summertime temperatures in Maine!

Okay so you know what I love?  I love fun kids, who love each other and are willing to have a little fun with ME!  And you know what I got??  JUST THAT on Thursday evening.  The B kids were hilarious, silly, sweet, GOOD LOOKING and well, we just had fun!!  I really have to brag on these kids.  It was so nice to see a brother and sister, their age, not mind holding hands or hugging each other.  They were really sweet with each other and I have to think its because mom and dad have done such a good job with them!  So I have sooo many great shots from this session.  I’m going to include my normal big images for the sneak peek and then a collage of some of the other really great images that we got, as well.  Enjoy!

Hey guys!  Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be out of the office starting today until the following week.  I hope to start responding to emails/returning phone calls on June 9th.  This is a huge trip for us and really one of the first big trips that we’ve taken, as a family, and therefore both my husband and I have made a pledge to leave the computers at home and to totally turn “off” work and really just enjoy our uninterrupted family time.  I’m sure you all can understand JUST how important it is to have time like that together.  I’ll leave you with a quick snapshot I took of my big sweet Anna Claire who turned six yesterday.  She is such a blessing to us!  This is her all decked out to pick up her report card for school, on her birthday!  (Yes she has blue streaks in her hair!! )
