Murfreesboro Family Photographer | Edwards Family, the whole crew!

Kathy, the mom of the whole crew, has mentioned that she would love a session with me, for a long time. So, we were lucky to be able to arrange a weekend date where her sons (Kyle & Bryce) and their beautiful families (Melissa, Andrew, Kristin and Ella) would ALL be in town AND where I would be available. We had a date set for this Saturday and I crossed my fingers and prayed for a beautiful weekend (her sons both live out of state so there was no rescheduling for rain!!) and ya know what?? I do believe our prayers were answered. Saturday(as many of you might remember) was a glorious, sunny and cool 78 here in Murfreesboro, TN. That’s pretty much unheard of these days in middle Tennessee so we were DELIGHTED. Our chosen location (Old Fort Park) was more than a little packed on that AMAZING day, I had some kids (that we did NOT know) getting a little TOO comfy on my props and I’m not sure that Kathy’s sweet grandson, Andrew, was too big of a fan of me BUT I think we captured some great images of this fun family anyways! Enjoy!

Jessie is a fun, gorgeous girl and we had a great time Saturday night exploring the Murfreesboro Square, Oaklands Mansion and a few beautiful, overgrown fields. Jessie is fun, sooo easy to photograph and was totally up for anything I asked. I’m blessed and honored that she (and her mom) chose me to photograph this milestone for her. Enjoy!

So Emily and I have been talking about her senior pictures for a LONG time. I’m happy and honored that she decided such a long time that I should be the one to do this for her. And then we did her rep session and it went wonderfully. And then we planned her senior session. And it was 103 degrees outside that day. Now, I CAN shoot during those temperatures, but honestly does ANYONE look good in 103 degree heat and 80% humidity? No! And I wanted Emily to look and FEEL her best for her pictures. So we rescheduled. And then that day came and it rained and was cloudy and gross and then stormed. So we rescheduled. And we were MAJORLY rewarded. A lovely day, 87 degrees with a light wind and low humidity. So we finally had our session. And without further ado… here they are. Enjoy!

So I’ve photographed my share of graduating high school seniors but Caitlin was my first graduating college senior. She’ll be graduating from MTSU this year and I truly believe she has a bright future in front of her. She’s GORGEOUS, articulate, so very nice, and you can tell she has a good head on her. I think she was a little unsure of our session (mom Carol, requested the session) but I believe we ALL had a great time, by the time it was over. Enjoy

Okay so some newborns sleep. And some eat. And some fuss. And some pee on us and some poop on us. And you NEVER know what you are going to get. So every session is interesting and different, just watching to see what kind of baby you’ll get.

So meet Mr Luke. Precious little guy, 2nd born son to a sweet, fun family. His mom and I had a great time chatting while we worked. And let’s just say that after Luke… well I have a LOT of laundry to do!! Enjoy.

Murfreesboro Photographer | Two times as much love! Newborn Twins!

That’s right, I had the opportunity to photograph newborn twins and they were sooo sooo sweet! I was able to do some shots of them, on their own and then some of them together. I have to say, they were soo much more peaceful and content with all my positioning and moving, when they were together! The BEST part was when their hands intertwined on one of the shots, with NONE of my doing! I can’t wait to see these two grow up and how much they’ll love on each other then! Enjoy.

Murfreesboro Photographers | Lavergne Senior Eva, Part 1

My beautiful rep Eva returned this evening for her senior session. Apparently, however, mother nature didn’t want to play nice. It started out a little cloudy and then cleared up perfectly but by the time we really wanted to take advantage of the beautiful sun; mean, ugly clouds came up and ruined our fun. It was a HOT HOT night and I hope that when Eva and I can finish our session its a little less sweltering! So here she is, Eva part 1! Enjoy.

If you are located here in Murfreesboro, you have SURELY heard about the Ruthie Awards given out each year. This year, is the 16th year of these awards. The awards purpose is to highlight the favorite businesses/service people/hospitals, etc etc. And this year, YOUR photographer was nominated. .

And I’m happy to be nominated. And while I know my business is very fairly young, especially compared to some of the other photographers/portrait studios in the area, I have high hopes. I thought – “wow, wouldn’t it be super cool to be a finalist this year?!?” I mean sure it would be crazy wow to win but to at least be a finalist, now that is a good goal, right?! So this is where ALL of you come in! Because well, you like me, right?! . Would you please, please vote for me?
