The most important thing about our session is to make your child comfortable and to have fun. We can do in studio portraits or on location sessions. I really suggest that for any children older than a year that we get outside and get them relaxed and having fun. Please do not be afraid to let your child run, dance, sing, laugh or goof off.
Most sessions typically last between 1- 2 hours. On location sessions are primarily captured with natural light. Because of this, these sessions need to be scheduled for either early morning or later in the afternoon. In studio sessions use professional lighting and are offered in my home. I offer a variety of backgrounds and some props. If a favorite blanket or stuffed animal will help your child relax however, then we can certainly attempt to incorporate those into the portraits.

This sweet little guy was such an adorable squeaker! Even fully asleep, he’d make the most precious squeaks while I positioned him. I tell you, it just made him EVEN cuter! He really wasn’t quite sure of who kept interrupting his sleep and then once he was done, he was sooo done with me. Luckily I captured some precious images, nonetheless! Enjoy.

So I always warn my clients, before a newborn session… don’t sweat it if they pee or poop on us. Good thing I warned momma TODAY because this sweet baby girl gave us LOTS of laugh from all her accidents, all over both of us! She is a beauty though and each clean up was easy peasy. So I’ve been back to work this week after a much needed and MUCH enjoyed vacation! We had a beautiful Christmas and an amazing time outside of Chicago with family. I am so blessed with my little family, I can’t begin to explain or put into words how much I love them! I hope to share some pictures from Christmas, etc soon!
BUT for NOW, I have a client awaiting a sneak peek. Sorry for the small delay! You’ve seen this sweet baby before and she was back this week for her 6th month session. Sadly, little baby A wasn’t so sure about our session and refused to give us even ONE big smile and we TRIED. All my clients know how hard I work for those sweet smiles and this was NO session was no exception. Smiles or no smiles, she’s still a beautiful baby and here she is – sitting up like a big girl now!

My sweet mother in law loves her grandkids like nothing else. So OF COURSE she wants some pictures of them and who does she ask? Why little ol’ me, of course! It was a WILD time. My little one wanted very little to do with it, the other little one wasn’t sure if he liked sitting or standing better. My big one kept giving us the funniest smiles and the other big one really really just didn’t want to have his picture taken! I managed to still capture some keepers out of the session and so without further ado… here are the boys, in their glory!

Yes, this little boy is a REPEAT customer! I had the privilege of photographing this sweet sweet little boy ON his first birthday, WITH his first smash cake! YAY! He wasn’t entirely sure he loved it but I think he had fun trying, nonetheless. Normally I have smiles galore from this little one but he wasn’t quite as happy today so my sneak peek is with some of his more serious looks which are just PRECIOUS! Don’t worry momma, I still got PLENTY of smiles!
Sweet cousins. I had the pleasure of photographing these two sweet cousins on Saturday. I’ve know baby C’s mom since about 4th grade and sweet girl A’s dad since high school. We had lots of fun and without further ado, here is the sneak peek, enjoy!
Had a great session today. M&M’s mom is an old friend and I was very excited to finally get a chance to photograph her children! Beautiful, sweet children. I think big “M” had more fun playing with my girls but I still got some great shots of her. Little “M” was a dream to photograph!
