The most important thing about our session is to make your child comfortable and to have fun. We can do in studio portraits or on location sessions. I really suggest that for any children older than a year that we get outside and get them relaxed and having fun. Please do not be afraid to let your child run, dance, sing, laugh or goof off.
Most sessions typically last between 1- 2 hours. On location sessions are primarily captured with natural light. Because of this, these sessions need to be scheduled for either early morning or later in the afternoon. In studio sessions use professional lighting and are offered in my home. I offer a variety of backgrounds and some props. If a favorite blanket or stuffed animal will help your child relax however, then we can certainly attempt to incorporate those into the portraits.

I just love giggly, happy girls! They remind me of my own.
Older sister LC loves the camera and is afraid to give me big smiles or sassy serious looks. Little sister Lane is just a ball of energy with LOTS of sweet fun smiles and laughter. Never a dull moment with these two and well I just love their parents too! Sweet family. Enjoy!

Funny, polite, SOOO cute and just plain fun to work with! You absolutely NEVER know what you are going to get with an 11 year old and a 7 year old together. But I got a brother and sister who were just FABULOUS! And did I mention how cute they were?!
Mom, you’ve done a great job on these two! Enjoy.
I’m a little behind on blogging as we enter the end of the outdoor portrait season. But don’t worry, I still plan on blogging all the sessions!
Here is big boy Eli! I remember first seeing this sweet kiddo when he was about 6 months old and couldn’t get over what a good combination of his mom and dad he was. And you know what, about 6.5 years later, its still the same! He has such a vibrant, funny personality, a gorgeous smile and those eyes! Enjoy.

Mr. Clay was one of my very first clients ever. Can you believe that? And his mom has brought him back, time and time again! Its been fun watching him grow into the big guy he is now. He’s adorable AND he really really really loves his momma, which of course makes him EVER cuter!
Enjoy!
I told you he loves his momma!

A little nod to his uncle.
I just loved his sad expression in this one, too sweet!

The final session for Miss A’s first year! She really wasn’t so sure about our location choice this year but with the help of “photographer’s assistant”
dad we got some great big smiles out of her! Enjoy
This first image is the Whitehill Photography’s take on an image that mom had with HER mom, in the same sweet dress (that grandma made!!)
And if you remember her previous sessions then you will notice the other dress in all the other shots. Its been so fun to watch her grow and fill out the pretty dress.

Okay so you know what I love? I love fun kids, who love each other and are willing to have a little fun with ME! And you know what I got?? JUST THAT on Thursday evening. The B kids were hilarious, silly, sweet, GOOD LOOKING and well, we just had fun!! I really have to brag on these kids. It was so nice to see a brother and sister, their age, not mind holding hands or hugging each other. They were really sweet with each other and I have to think its because mom and dad have done such a good job with them! So I have sooo many great shots from this session. I’m going to include my normal big images for the sneak peek and then a collage of some of the other really great images that we got, as well. Enjoy!
The weather finally warmed up, dried up and everything is a bloom. So I finally got to take some shots of my girls in their Easter dresses. And let me tell you… not only was the weather beautiful, not only were the flowers beautiful but MAN, oh MAN… this mommy is proud to say THE GIRLS are so insanely beautiful, it takes my breath away! I have sooo many of these to share and (so many I’m going to want for the walls!!!) but here are three to start us off.
My oldest… quiet, shy, a total bookworm. And gorgeous.
And my youngest – bubbly, charismatic and also very very cuddly!
I am SOO excited to be out and shooting outside again, I can barely stand it!

Here are E & I, two sweet little guys that I just love. I was NOT so sure about momma putting him down and walking out of the shot but with a little bribery and some silly noises, we got some cute shots. E, as usual, was all fun smiles and good laughter… this kid can instantly put a smile on my face with HIS smile! Enjoy.

I have to show this one, how CUTE is this little motion that he did for us? Momma is Italian and this looks like a perfect little “Mama Mia!” type pose!

How perfect is THIS image, they both even have their hand on their bellies! LOVE it!

Meet Mr. W. This little one is all boy: full of energy, full of spunk and full of love for all things that GO – especially trains! Good thing I planned a location that had its very own train car, huh!?! I met up with this cutie and his mom here in Murfreesboro at good ol’ Cannonsburgh! I really don’t like to overuse locations but Cannonsburgh offers SO much for this age and I’m hard pressed to find a better spot for 2 year olds! You better believe I used every spot I could think of to keep this little one interested! And guess what, we even ran into two fellow photographers… hope you guys got some great shots too! Momma was a little worried we might not get any of his smiling but I’m hoping THIS little jewel makes her happy.
Or maybe this one:

And although these aren’t great big smiles, I still think they are oooh so sweet!

Enjoy!
